Dear Bill & Steve: Though it's been nearly six years since I moved into my home here in Eastmoor, hardly a day passes that I don't reflect upon the quality purchase I made back then and the new friends I made at Bass & Royster. I was doubly pleased back then when having made an offer on my home, I learned that it not only won the Parade of Homes "Best in Price Range" category, but also "Best of Show" out of a field of forty-two. I can't help but brag that my home has a pedigree! On a more serious note, friends who visit my home marvel at the quality of construction and the attention to detail that are evident in the construction. I could not be a more satisfied customer and I'd be delighted to serve as a reference for your company or to open my home to anyone who wants to see the superior quality that Bass & Royster puts into their work. I have been especially appreciative that your firm has the attitude that you are willing to help your customers long after closing the deal as you did when I contracted with your firm recently to add on to my deck. I got the same great quality that I did when I bought the house. Everyone I have met from your firm has been very helpful, courteous and professional. You are class guys who manage a quality, customer service oriented operation! Thanks again for a great job. I truly enjoy my home! Sincerely, Richard B. Hurley
Gentlemen: Florence and I would like to express to you how very pleased and excited we are with our new house in Biltmore Park, and are looking forward to enjoying it and meeting our new neighbors. We have to admit to having heard many horror stories about building, and sensing some trepidation before starting our retirement home. But after meeting with Bill and Steve, those fears faded quickly and were replaced with eager anticipation. In the weeks that followed, we found that you have a fine organization where everyone from the workers on the job, to the office staff and the president were so cooperative, friendly, courteous, eager to please and determined to make sure everything was as we wish. All were consistently pleasant and good natured, business-like, helpful, never impatient - obviously well trained and / or naturally talented in customer relations, as well as competent in their work: Refreshing! A very special thanks to your project manager or job superintendent, Bo Reynolds. He probably has a few extra gray hairs after dealing with us, but we are unable to say enough good things about how helpful, accommodating and cooperative he is. With his patience and suggestions, much of the burden of making those everyday, little, but very important decisions were diminished. You are indeed fortunate to have him as part of your organization. He was always there to help and guide us which was really appreciated and dispelled any anxiety. You should be proud to have such an outstanding individual associated with Bass & Royster. We cannot always make the right decisions as we travel life's highway; but we certainly made the correct decision when we chose Bass & Royster to build our new home. It should be very gratifying to have assembled such a competent team. They gave us a good feeling about your company, and we wanted to tell you so. We wish you much success in the future. Sincerely, Ralph & Florence Presley
Dear Mr. Bass, We wish to thank you for the wonderful service your company provided during the construction of our new home. Building long distance and not being able to be present during construction could have presented many problems. However, everyone in your company went out of their way to be helpful in solving problems and keeping us informed of the construction details. Even after completion of the house, Bass & Royster continued to repair any occurring problems. We are glad that we chose them as our builder and can highly recommend them to others to do an outstanding job. Sincerely yours, David and Gail Klein
Dear Steve and staff, Dottie and I wish to thank you for the outstanding job you did correcting the numerous problems we were having with our 100+ year old home. It is rightly on the Historic register and we wanted to preserve it. The necessary window replacements were likewise done to perfection. You will be our first call if future work is needed. Best regards, Lacy Thornburg
Dear Bill, I am writing this letter to you, since we initiated our kitchen renovation project with you. However, please understand it is directed to everyone at Bass & Royster, and particularly those who played some role in our kitchen project. I trust you will share this with all of them. This past Thursday, while you and I were at Rotary, the City Inspector signed off on our kitchen project, and Nancy and I spent the weekend getting moved back in. We are completely delighted with the outcome -- far beyond our expectations. As I told you at the outset, we have been agonizing for ten years how to deal with a very difficult renovation situation -- one that would provide more open working space with minimum architectural modification at a reasonable price. The results are even better than we had expected -- due partly to the final design, for which I will take full credit, but also largely due to the superb quality of workmanship that went into the job. For this, you have our sincere thanks. Your Project Supervisor, Scott Purdy, and his crew of Bob and Jimmy were a genuine pleasure to work with. Not only are they pleasant individuals who we enjoyed getting to know, but more importantly they are highly skilled and very professional at what they do. This is quite evident in the finished project. Scott took great pains to try and accommodate our wishes in all respects and to cause minimum intrusion in our daily routine, which we truly appreciated. He also did a masterful job juggling some six very busy sub-contractors (electrical, plumbing, drywall, tile, painting, HVAC) in an effort to complete the job in an expeditious fashion. Although it took a bit longer than I think we all expected, in retrospect I do not believe this could have been improved upon. We were very taken with the quality of all the sub-contractor work -- particularly George the electrician and his crew, Billie the painter and her Audi/Volvo crew and Vince the tile man (the others were not here quite so long so we did not have a chance to get to know them as well). Without exception, they were all pleasant to have around, extremely professional and got their work done without delay. This was an exceptional group of sub-contractors, which I have to assume is no coincidence. This is the third job Bass & Royster has done for us and by far the largest. Our sincere thanks for completing it in such a satisfactory and professional fashion. Nancy & Frank Rutland
