| To Whom It May Concern: As we were beginning to think about a potential builder for the house we wanted to have built, we visited a large number of homes that were currently under construction, and quickly noted the exceptional work we observed in homes built by Bass & Royster, Inc. It appeared that quality materials were being used and fine workmanship was employed. We talked with several homeowners and builders, and always heard that Bass & Royster built a quality home. After meeting with Bill Bass and Steve Royster, we were impressed with their attention to detail, and the questions they asked about what we wanted in our home. They were genuinely concerned in building our home the best it could be, and sincerely wanted to meet our needs. We contracted with them because we were impressed with their commitment to building a quality home, and their desire to never "cut corners". Construction began on schedule, and everyone involved answered our hundreds of questions, and called us back quickly when we needed information. We established a good working rapport with Steve Royster and Bill Bass, as well as the staff in the office. They demonstrated integrity and honesty during all phases of the construction process. Because of the timing of when our home was being built, we were asked if we would consider including it in the October Parade of Homes. We agreed, and were glad to showcase our home with others throughout the region, in order to let potential homebuilders see and evaluate the work of the Bass & Royster team. Our home won a ribbon for Porches and Decks. Once the house was finished, and we had moved in, our relationship with Bass & Royster did not end. When leaking developed around the top of the chimney during the Christmas holidays, Steve Royster was crawling around in our attic on Christmas Eve looking for the cause. He discovered the problem, and had the appropriate construction worker there on Christmas Day to do the repairs. Of course, with service and dependability like this, we were more convinced than ever that our builders were the best in the business, and that we were extremely fortunate to have chosen to work with them in getting our house built. You may be sure that if we decide to build another house, we'll talk with Bass & Royster, but we like the current one so well, that talk could be a long time in the future! retirement home" was one of the best experiences we have ever had. | Bill Bass, Steve Royster and Ron Wildes: Vicki and I want you to know that we are thoroughly enjoying our new mountain-side home. The magnificent views we have observed through three seasons have been like an Impressionist painting and we look forward to seeing the beauty of spring from up here. Each day we feel blessed that we chose Asheville to be the location where we live and that we worked with Bass & Royster to build our home. Having a home built was not our initial thought as we had not built before. After making a wish list of what was important to us in our next home, we spent a few months looking with a realtor and never found what we were looking for. At that point we had located property with the views we were looking for and made the decision to start interviewing builders. We started with a simple hand-drawn concept and floor plans for our house and then we met with several builders. After these preliminary meetings it was obvious to us that we should select Bass & Royster to build our dream home. Our primary contact during the entire process was Ron. His knowledge, experience, guidance and rapport were instrumental in us getting the home we wanted. We were guided through the process from my crude drawings to blueprints, making selections for lighting fixtures, plumbing fixtures, flooring and numerous other features that make a house a home. Ron and I spent many hours together on the lot during the time it took to build our home. During the process a few minor modifications were made and we were pleased they could easily accommodate our wishes. We have told many of our friends that building a home can actually be a pleasant experience as long as you work with the right builder. Since moving into our home we have had many guests and they are just as impressed as we are with the look, feel and quality of the home that was built just for us. The entire staff at Bass & Royster, and your sub-contractors are to be commended for their professionalism and ease to work with.
