The true measure of success for any organization is their ability to satisfy their customers. Below you will see some of the letters we have received from our clients.  Many of them will be happy to discuss their building experience with you.

A word of caution... always carefully check the references of any general contractor you are considering.

Recently we decided to end a long term, flat land Midwest residency and to move to the far more interesting Blue Ridge Mountains.  We purchased a beautiful lot in the Poplar Ridge neighborhood on the south side of Asheville and set about the process of building our retirement home.

Step one was to find a builder.  We wanted a builder who could best utilize our building site's potential and who could translate our home design ideas into a buildable plan.  Since during construction we were to be living out of state, we needed a builder who we could have the confidence in to work with from a distance.  Having survived the home building process several times in the past, our hope was to do it right this one more and last time.  Our expectation was for high quality construction within the agreed upon time and budget.

Since we were new to the Asheville area, we were not familiar with any of the area home builders.  After interviewing several builders we chose Bass and Royster to build our home.  It was an easy decision since the other builders that we met were not nearly comparable.  From our first meeting with Bill Bass and Steve Royster we were impressed with their professionalism and with the team of people within their office and on the construction site.  We toured several beautiful homes that they had recently completed and we spoke with several absolutely satisfied prior customers.  We entered into a building contract with high expectations and those expectations were all exceeded.

The home design process was efficient, with very constructive input from Bass and Royster, and it produced just what we wanted.  Extensive site excavation resulted in a great utilization of our building lot, they really knew how to build our house on our lot.  Our communications during construction were very effective and built our confidence that we were in good hands.  The final home is more than we hoped for; it is well designed and beautifully constructed.  Our home was completed ahead of schedule, which has never happened to us before.

We are thrilled with our new home in the Blue Ridge Mountains.  We can with enthusiasm and without reservation recommend Bass and Royster to anyone looking for truly nice people to work with and looking for the best in custom home construction.

Dear Bill, Steve and all:

We are delighted to be in our new Bass and Royster home.  Everything is just as we planned and we would like to send a big "thank you" to you and the entire B & R team.

Building a home in North Carolina while living in New York seemed an impossibility when we first started on this project.  But you and your staff made the process painless.  With each step we became more confident in our choice of builders.  Chris was an absolute gem with her meticulous record keeping and ability to get us the answers we needed in a quick and efficient manner.  Mike was always there with a helping hand, often calling us in New York in order to clarify a question or make a helpful suggestion.  Patsy and Linda gave us the technical answers we needed on financing or sifting through the municipal quagmire.

It is a joy to finally be in the house and begin the process of getting settled in Asheville.  We are proud of the house that you built us and we look forward to enjoying our new life here on the mountain.

Our sincere thanks for a job well done.

Regards,

Bill and Joyce Miles

Dear Bill:

Well, it's been ten weeks now and it already feels like "home."

Kirsten and I want to thank you for the incredible job you, Bo and everyone at Bass & Royster did on our new house in Biltmore Park.  We continue to get compliments from neighbors and "drivers by" on the style and look of our home.

Please say thank you to everyone there for us.  You made the process a fun and rewarding experience.

Let us know if we can ever do anything for you.

Best regards,

Douglas Smith

This home was taken over mid-construction and completed by Bass & Royster.

Dear Bill and Steve,

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to you and your staff for helping us get our home completed.  It was a joy working with you and your wonderful staff.

We would especially like to commend Bo for pulling the house together so quickly and professionally.  It felt like we were on a vacation once he was on the job!  He was a tremendous advocate for us in dealing with suppliers and sub-contractors.

Your office personnel could not have been more helpful and kind.  Whenever we had a question or concern, someone from Bass and Royster was always willing to help find the answers we needed and guide us through the building process.

Thank you so much for choosing to go out on a limb to help us out.  We will always be grateful.
